Way, way back in the fog of stuff that happened earlier than today–specifically in the year of our sins 2013–I started posting a free story every week on this here blog. It was a lot of work. I was doing book covers, too, and trying to keep up with publishing them on various retailers’ sites.
Busy around here. We’re in San Antonio, but not in our final location–to the extent that “final” means anything with us–so everything takes longer and costs more than seems reasonable. And it’s still quite possible that our plans will be upset entirely, leaving us to decide (again) upon a plan for the sort of thing
I hate doing this. I actually like dealing with Amazon…but I don’t like dealing only with Amazon. OTOH, I like it when actual people (not just the ones I make up in my head) can and do read my books and stories. What’s that mean? It means I pulled all of my ebooks, except Shiver
It’s funny to remember that I thought it would just be a blog post about some of the computer-hackery stuff in Bleed on the Sky. Then I thought…well…maybe 12,000 words or so, definitely worth making it into a short ebook. Well, it’s over 30K words now, and I won’t be terribly surprised if it ends
